As American Viewpoint's founder, Linda DiVall has provided effective strategies to both political and corporate clients for over twenty years.
Linda was part of the McCain '08 polling team and has conducted survey research for Gov. Matt Blunt, Bush-Cheney '00 and '04, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, GOP Whip Roy Blunt, Senators Johnny Isakson, Jim Talent, Richard Lugar, Fred Thompson, Kay Bailey Hutchison and Phil Gramm; Congresswomen Mary Bono, Jo Ann Emerson and Judy Biggert; Congressmen Ed Whitfield, and others. She served as the pollster for Senator Phil Gramm's Presidential campaign, Elizabeth Dole's 2000 campaign, and was a senior advisor to the Bob Dole for President Campaign. Linda designed the swing voter focus group research that provided the 2000 GOP Convention planners a blueprint for success in Philadelphia. Linda has also conducted research on behalf of the RGA and NRCC Chairman Tom Cole. Her strategic insight has been utilized on policy issues of healthcare, Social Security, Medicare and retirement security.
Linda has conducted survey research for numerous companies and corporations including Dow Corning, Altria, Pfizer, the BlueCross BlueShield Association, Monsanto, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Federation of American Hospitals, the Health Insurance Association of America, and International Paper.
A frequent source for the national press, Linda has been a guest commentator for every major broadcast and cable news network, PBS, and C-Span. She has appeared numerous times on CBS' "Face the Nation," PBS' "NewsHour with Jim Lehrer," and ABC News' "Nightline." In 2000, she wrote bi-weekly op-eds for the LA Times providing readers with insight into the road to the White House.
Linda has worked as consultant and analyst for CBS Election Night coverage since 1988, providing insight to Bob Schieffer, Lesley Stahl, Diane Sawyer, Connie Chung and Katie Couric. Since 1996, she has been a featured election night analyst for Dan Rather, including an epic endurance test in November 2000 with appearances on the Evening News until well into the early morning and most recently analyst for CBS Election Night 2006 with Katie Couric.
